Working During Coronavirus – Your Questions Answered

Your garden and the Coronavirus Crisis>>

We are aware that this is a unique and unusual time and you may be wondering how – or even IF – we can help you.

We are delighted to say that, due to the nature of our work, much of what we do has been able to continue safely. We have made a few adjustments to our procedures, in order to keep both our team and our customers safe.

So, if you are thinking about getting some help with your garden project, we hope the following information will be useful.

Are you still able to work at present?

Yes, because our work is outdoors we have been able to work pretty much as normal along with some working practice adaptations. Our teams now arrive on site separately, all tools are cleaned between uses and all our personnel maintain a safe 2 metre distance at all times. We maintain minimum contact with our clients at all times and bring all our own refreshments. If we are unable to complete a task due to it needing more than one person then we will defer that task to a later visit. We use alcohol wipes to clean any handles or touch points on your property; your safety, and that of our team, are paramount.

Are you still able to visit me to discuss my garden project at the moment?

Yes, absolutely. Of course we usually like to come and spend time with you in your garden. In normal times, a garden tour with you along with a chat over a cuppa allows us to get all the information we need to understand what you want to achieve in the garden – whether that’s ongoing maintenance, a planting scheme or a landscaping project.

The great news is that we can still achieve all of this but by being a bit more creative in our approach; we can still come and see your garden but we will maintain a safe social distance at all times. If you prefer not to be present when we visit, for reasons of safety, then we have found that using technology, like Zoom, allows us to have a comprehensive face to face chat with you after the visit. We will be able to work out prices for you and get your agreement in principle to any future work, which we can finalise once the lockdown is lifted.

Is it possible to get any landscaping or planting work done?

In principle yes, as we are able to operate safely outdoors – however, we are being limited by the supply of materials, machinery and plants. Essentially we will do all that we can and complete work as soon as we are able.

Can I get hold of compost and other garden materials from you?

Yes, we are happy to use our wholesale connections to supply compost and other garden materials for you, which we will deliver. Just let us know how we can help and we’ll let you know if we can help.
