Brief;
The client had redeveloped and extend their house and turned the old swimming pool into a Yoga studio. The builders had laid terraces around the house and the rest of the garden was looking unloved and in need of inspiration. Our soft landscape team took the clients brief cutting back hedges hard, removing mixed scrub and re-establishing boundaries then planting whips in the existing Beech hedge and a Thuja hedge to the front of the property. They then sculpted the rear garden creating grass terraces along with a swathe of wildflower under the Copper Beech tree. Small areas of simple planting were created and since then our maintenance and aftercare teams have been taking care of the garden and bringing it to maturity. Since the initial works we have had many small projects, taking an area(s) and adding planting pockets to soften the garden and provide more interest. The garden has always been about sharp lines and simplicity.
