Brief;

The client had already had the garden built a couple of years previous, but the planting hadn’t quite ticked their boxes. Raine Garden Design was brought in to revitalise the area with colour and interest but first we had to replace some fencing, strip out the garden and prepare the soil ready for the new scheme. New pleached trees were brought in to be used alongside the replanted existing specimens to form a multi-layer screen. New bold timber arches were erected to replace the old ones and the path beneath adjusted to provide more planting along the wall. Statement Parrotia columns stand around the circular seating area, and all of this is brough together with a mass of white, blue and purple herbaceous planting, punctuated by Yew domes, Pittosporum balls and soft, feathery grasses to sway in the wind.
